The Passages’ First Steps program is designed to help families of children with special needs. This program can meet the needs of a variety of conditions such as speech, hearing, vision, physical, language, learning, or social/emotional development. Children may have one or more delays often resulting from pre-mature birth or long term health problems. Our trained and certified staff will assist each family through choosing a variety of services specifically designed for each child or family. These services can often be performed in the family’s home, at daycare or baby-sitter's home. There is no or a very small fee based on income.

• Who is eligible for First Steps?
  
  . Children age 0-35 months.
  . Children who had a difficult time at birth.
  . Children born early, with a low birth weight or that spent time in an incubator.
  . Children who are not developing at the same rate as other children his/or her age.
  
• How can I participate in First Steps?
  
  . If your child meets any of the qualifications listed above, contact the First Steps System Point of Entry (SPOE) at 1-877-357-4644 for your free evaluation.
  
  . The SPOE Intake Coordinator will take your information and set up a time to come to your home to discuss your options.
  
  . We at Passages hope you will say “I CHOOSE PASSAGES!” when presented with a list of providers.
